introduction thiamine pyrophosphate (TPP) is a coenzyme form of vitamin B1 (thiamine), which is formed by phosphorylation of vitamin B1 (thiamine). Thiamine pyrophosphate TPP is a coenzyme involved in the synthesis and cleavage of carbonyl carbon (aldehyde, ketone) in sugar metabolism, especially the decarboxylation of α-keto acid. Thiamine pyrophosphate passes through the N = C active site The carbon atom combines with the α-carbon atom (carbonyl carbon atom) to promote the cleavage of the carboxyl group to release carbon dioxide.
physiological functions and effects thiamine pyrophosphate (Thiamine Pyrophosphate, TPP) is a metabolite of vitamin B1, a cofactor synthesized in cytosol, and is necessary to maintain the activity of cytosol transketase and mitochondrial pyruvate, ketoglutaric acid and branched keto acid dehydrogenase. TPP can be used to evaluate the mechanism of deacidification in biological systems. TPP can also prevent hyperglycemia-induced retinopathy and desflurane-induced hepatotoxicity in rats.
